7 January ielts exam Morning Slot Writing Task 2 Essay

The issue of who is responsible for protecting the environment is a highly debated topic. Some believe that it is the government's responsibility while others argue that every individual has a role to play.

On one side of the argument, those who believe that protecting the environment is the government's responsibility argue that the government has the power, resources, and infrastructure to implement policies and regulations that promote sustainable practices. For example, the government can pass laws that prohibit the use of certain harmful chemicals, enforce penalties for companies that pollute, and invest in renewable energy sources. Additionally, the government can also educate the public about the importance of environmental protection and encourage them to adopt eco-friendly habits.

However, others argue that every individual has a responsibility to protect the environment. They believe that our daily actions, such as using plastic bottles, driving gas-guzzling cars, and consuming products from unsustainable sources, contribute to environmental degradation. Therefore, it is important for individuals to take personal responsibility for their actions and adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. This can involve reducing energy consumption, using reusable products, supporting environmentally friendly companies, and participating in community efforts to protect the environment.

In my opinion, both the government and individuals have a role to play in protecting the environment. While the government has the resources and power to implement policies and regulations, it is ultimately the actions of individuals that have a direct impact on the environment. The government can provide the necessary infrastructure and education, while individuals can adopt eco-friendly habits and support environmentally friendly companies.

In conclusion, it is important for both the government and individuals to work together to promote sustainable practices and protect the environment. By combining the efforts of the government and individuals, we can create a more sustainable and environmentally friendly society.

14 January ielts exam Evening Slot Writing Task 2 Essay Interviews are a common practice for many companies when selecting new employees. However, there are some who argue that interviews may not be the most reliable method of choosing the best candidate for a job. In this essay, I will examine the strengths and weaknesses of using interviews as a selection criteria and consider alternative methods of employee selection.  On the one hand, interviews can be a useful tool for employers to get a sense of a candidate's qualifications, skills, and personality.
